Field Training Officer (FTO) 2/20-23/2012 32 hours

This course is designed to provide the Field Training Officer with a systematic and best practices approach to “coaching” the new officer and documenting that process. The course will provide the FTO with the tools to provide an objective evaluation of the new officer’s readiness for the assignment. The material can be customized by the FTO to meet the particular needs of the agency.

Street Survival 04/09-12/2012 32 hours

This course is designed for both the experienced and new officer desiring to improve their “street survival” skills. This course will cover such topics as the survival mindset, combat breathing, and situational awareness, contact and cover, defensive tactics, handcuffing, searching, tactical pistol, and simunitions scenario training. This will be a hands on course and the officer will be challenged. An equipment list will be provided.

Leadership -201 04/17-20/2012 32 hours

This course is for the law enforcement Mid-Level Manager that has already taken the Law Enforcement Leadership-101course or its equivalent. The officer will learn the differences between the role of the first line supervisor and the Mid-Level Manager. The course will expand the officer’s knowledge beyond the basic management techniques and move the student towards the leadership and planning responsibilities of Mid-Level Managers.

Patrol Rifle 04/30-5/3/2012 32 hours
This course is designed for officers already familiar with the use of the “patrol rifle”. The officers will be exposed to the tactical use and manipulation of that weapon system. This is not just a shooting course, but rather a more involved training program in movement and the tactical use of the patrol rifle.
